Graduate Program in Anthropology

Introduction

The website provides an overview of the graduate programs of the University of Calgary's Department of Anthropology. It is intended to provide information upon which prospective students may make application decisions as well as to serve as a handy reference for students in program. 

1. The Faculty of Faculty of Graduate Studies Calendar (general regulations governing all graduate programs at the University of Calgary and degree programs of particular types).
   
2. The Faculty of Graduate Studies Handbook of Supervision and Examination, for thesis based master's programs and for doctoral programs (matters relating to the appointment and duties of supervisors and supervisory committees and candidacy and final oral examinations).
3. The Faculty of Graduate Studies Thesis Format Guidelines (specific format requirements for all theses and dissertations submitted to the Faculty).
   
4. The Faculty of Graduate Studies Collective Agreement with the Board of Governors, revised yearly (amounts of stipends and teaching assistantships of various sorts administered by the FGS and statements of duties and obligations entailed by these).
   
5. Statement of departmental policy and regulations for PhD and MA programs.
