Audio-Visual Facilities
Temporary loans of still cameras, tape recorders, and video systems are available from the Communications Media Department. Communications Media also houses one of the largest collections of anthropological and primatological films in Canada.Computer Facilities
Central computing facilities consists of a distributed AIX (UNIX) system with extensive statistical software available. Graduate students have access to MS-DOS computers. When available, graduate students may use the Department's portable data logging computers in the field. Facilities to transfer data files to microcomputers exist. A micro lab with 30 Macintosh and 10 MS-DOS computers is maintained by the Faculty of Arts, and the tri-faculty lab holds 60 Windows based computers.Laboratory Facilities
A research laboratory for primate anatomy, physiology, and material preparation is maintained in the Science A building. The laboratory is equipped for research of some aspects of anatomy and physiology. There is also a teaching laboratory with an extensive primate fossil cast collection and anatomical material.Housing Facilities
Housing facilities at the University of Calgary are quite limited, but students may inquire about single residency in the students' residences and married student housing on campus. Additional aid in seeking accommodation off campus is provided by the Off-Campus Housing Office.
